Gary Cahill Inter Milan Plan £10m Bid for Boltons Gary Cahill

Inter Milan are lining up a big-money bid for Bolton’s star defender Gary Cahill, according to reports in Italy.  Inter boss Rafa Benitez was reportedly interested in the 24-year-old while in charge at Liverpool and the Spaniard is ready to test Bolton’s resolve to keep hold of him with a £10m offer.  But it is thought that such a bid would fall around £5m short of Bolton’s valuation of Cahill, who won his first England cap in the Three Lions’ 4-0 victory over Bulgaria at Wembley last month.  Inter, treble winners last season, are currently third in Serie A and Benitez has made no secret of his desire to strengthen the squad during January.  But sources in Italy have revealed that Inter have allocated a maximum of £10m to strengthen their defence.
