Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is considering a move for Celtic’s Scott Brown as he looks to beef up his midfield options but the Old Trafford manager will reportedly have to fend off interest in the Scottish international from the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan who are apparently both interested in the box to box performer.

Ghana star Anthony Annan is hoping to secure his dream move to the Premier League in January.
The Rosenborg midfielder has been strongly linked some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.
Annan has made no secret of his desire to leave his Norwegian club but was unable to force through a move during the summer transfer window.

Everton remain interested in Landon Donovan despite LA Galaxy’s massive asking price of £11m.
David Moyes is a big fan of the American, who enjoyed a productive loan spell at Goodison last season.
Donovan scored twice in 13 games for Everton and became a fans favourite at the club before he starred for America at the World Cup.
Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy insist Donovan is going nowhere but sources at the club claim they would listen to offers of around £11m for the 28-year-old.

HOLLAND keeper Maarten Stekelenburg has emerged as Manchester United’s number one choice to succeed Edwin van der Sar. The Dutch keeper is on United’s wanted list after van der Sar nominated Stekelenburg as his potential replacement. A United delegation watched his man-of-the-match performance for Holland against Finland last Tuesday. Van der Sar is in the final year of his playing contract at United, but is expected to remain as a goalkeeping coach. The Ajax keeper, 27, replaced van der Sar in the national team and was in goal for the World Cup final against Spain. Stekelenburg has been part of the Dutch senior squad for six years and spent a large part of that as van der Sar’s understudy. United chief Sir Alex Ferguson has enlisted van der Sar’s help as he searches for his long-term successor. (News of the World)
Ronaldinho could turn his back and walk away from Milan in January, according to El Mundo Deportivo journalist Cristina Cubero.
The Spanish journalist is close to Barcelona, and is a good friend of Ronaldinho.
During an interview with the programme Punto y Pelota, Cubero revealed clubs in the United Arab Emirates are keen on the Brazilian, whose future has been put in doubt following the arrival of Robinho.

Real Madrid are plotting to end Wayne Rooney’s Manchester United turmoil by setting aside £65million for a summer swoop.
The Manchester United striker has been plunged into despair by revelations about his private life and Real chief Joe Mourinho is ready to offer him an escape next summer if he decides he fancies a fresh start abroad.
Such a move is certain to infuriate Mourinho’s good friend Sir Alex Ferguson, who will fight tooth and nail to hang on to his star man.

Jose Mourinho has gone public on his desire to sign a new striker – with Emmanuel Adebayor at the top of Real Madrid‘s shopping list. The Bernabeu boss wants a powerful centre forward and, with Cristiano Ronaldo injured, he has just two senior players who can play up front: Gonzalo Higuain and Karim Benzema. Madrid signed six players in the summer but balked at adding another striker as the transfer window came to a close. Mourinho now wants the situation rectified. Adebayor fits the bill because of his physical style and the Togo international is down the pecking order at Manchester City.
