Kisses and good vibes to Villarreal’s Giuseppe Rossi, (seen here with the Italian NT on 10/5/11), who underwent surgery for ligament damage to his knee and is expected to be out for six months. He tweeted that the surgery had gone well and now we can only send him oodles of love in hopes that it fuels this bambino’s recovery.

New Jersey-born forward Giuseppe Rossi scored three goals to lead Spain’s Villarreal to a 4-1 exhibition victory over England‘s Tottenham on Thursday.

Rossi scored in the 21st, 31st and 69th minutes at White Hart Lane. The 23-year-old was born in Teaneck to Italian parents and opted to play for Italy’s national team instead of the United States’. While he was on the Azzurri’s preliminary 30-man World Cup roster, he was cut when it was pared to 23.

Giuseppe Rossi will only leave Villarreal for a big club, according to his agent Federico Pastorello as reports of an Inter bid grow stronger. Inter have been tipped as the front runners for the hitman as Mario Balotelli edges closer to Manchester City.

Gianluca Zambrotta and Fabio Quagliarella and the rest of the Italian squad touched down via private plane all sporting Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses, suits and all.
