Italian Serie A leaders AC Milan celebrated the 25th anniversary of Silvio Berlusconi’s ownership of the club by wearing a special edition of their adidas 2010/11 away kit in their 2-1 away win at Chievo Verona last Sunday (February 20th, 2011).  The one-time use Rossoneri jersey features golden embroidery that reads 20 February 1986 – 20 February 2011 followed by Berlusconi’s signature. It is unknown whether the kit will go on sale to the public.

Catalan giants and defending Spanish La Liga champion FC Barcelona has released a Behind the Scenes / Making Of video for its official 2010/11 team photo. Football Association of Ireland and Umbro have unveiled a special one off Limited Edition pink version of the Ireland 2010/11 home jersey.  The jersey features a special embroidery around the FAI crest and a pink ribbon on the sleeve. The Irish Senior International Team sponsored by 3 mobile will support the cause by wearing the kit in the warm-up for Wednesday’s International friendly game against Norway at the Aviva Stadium. 10% of the retail value of each jersey will be donated to Action Breast Cancer, a programme of the Irish Cancer Society.

US Soccer and Nike have launched a third 2010/11 training jersey for the USA Men’s National Teams. The new shirt is the USA Nike 10/11 CS Training Top. It is expected to be used by the USA along with its 2010/11 Elite Training jerseys prior to its 2011 international friendlies and in preparation for the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup, FIFA U-20 World Cup Colombia 2011 and FIFA U-17 World Cup Mexico 2011.

Most soccer fans have been familiar with the Manchester United 2010/11 Nike home jersey for some time now. Now the Nike has launched an “Authentic” boxed version of the Red Devils’ 10/11 home kit that is identical to that used by the Wayne Rooney, Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez and the rest of Sir Alex Ferguson’s side in English domestic and UEFA Champions League action. English Premier League club Fulham FC has unveiled its 2010/11 third kit from new gear providers Kappa.  The new green and gold Kappa Third Kit was worn by the Cottagers  in Saturday’s Barclays Premier League away match against West Brom. According  to the Fulham website, it commemorates the club’s 10th consecutive season in English Premier League.

Spanish giants Real Madrid has officially launched its adidas 2010/11 third kit. The strip that Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and the rest of Jose Mourinho’s team will wear for their UEFA Champions League travels next season has hit the racks and is now available for purchase at authorized distributors. Its release follows the launch of the Real Madrid adidas 10/11 home kit and the Real Madrid adidas 10/11 away kit earlier this summer.
