Nike and the Fédération Française de Football have officially launched the France 2011/12 away jersey. Its unveiling follows the January unveiling of the France Nike 2011/12 home kit.

The 2011 Spartak home strip was worn for the first time on February 24th in the team’s UEFA Europa League Round of 32 match with Switzerland’s FC Basel. The 1-1 result of the game saw Spartak Moscow advance to the Round of 16 of the competition by an aggregate victory of 4-3.  Spartak Moscow currently campaigns in the Russian Premier League and is managed by Russian football legend Valery Karpin. It finished in 4th place in last year’s RPL.

The team meets Paraguay and Venezuela in international friendly action on March 26th and 29th in California, USA.

Back on August 1st, 2010, the legendary Pelé announced that The New York Cosmos are back in business.  The return of the what was once the biggest soccer club in the US involves a launch of Cosmos Academy in NYC and LA and the club becoming the organizer of Copa NYC, a World Cup-style grassroots tournament that engages local communities to represent their countries of origin. On Tuesday, the Flamengo Olympikus 2011 home and away kits were presented to the public. In recognition of the 30th anniversary of Flamengo’s sole Intercontinental Cup win, both kits are patterned after those worn by the team during the 1981 season. Adilio and Julio Cesa from the 1981 Flamengo team were present to launch the new kits along with current players Philip, Léo Moura and Renato and a couple of Brazilian soccer babes.
